WEOS coverage map FM RADIO BROADCASTS: WEOS broadcasts primarily on 89.5 FM across the Finger Lakes.   Our transmitter is located in the Town of Seneca, NY...about 5 miles southwest of Geneva.

WEOS also broadcasts on 90.3FM from a small "repeater" or "translator" station located on the Hobart & William Smith Colleges' campus in Geneva proper.  If you're in Geneva and are having a hard time getting 89.7FM clearly, try 90.3FM instead!

Depending on terrain and the quality of your radio, you can hear WEOS from Canandaigua to Auburn, Naples to Dryden, Ithaca to Hammondsport.

Note: WEOS has recently changed frequencies to 89.5FM and increase power to 6000 watts.  This will improve our coverage towards Rochester and Auburn significantly.  Let us know how the signal is where you are.

HD RADIO DIGITAL BROADCASTS:
WEOS transmits in HD Radio digital on both its 89.5 and 90.3 transmitters.  Like XM or Sirius satellite radio, it's a digital signal...that means there's no clicks, pops, static, fades or whatnot.   Unlike satellite radio, however, once you buy an HD Radio receiver, it's 100% free to use!

Especially in hilly terrain like the Finger Lakes, HD Radio is really nice.  You tune to 89.5, the radio will buffer for a few seconds, then automatically blend to the digital signal, and that's it!  You'll hear things in rich, stereo sound up to 20kHz bandwidth!

HD Radio receivers are sometimes available at your local Radio Shack and Wal-Mart, and usually available at your local Best Buy as well.   You can also find them through online sources like Crutchfield.com which is a good source for car radios with HD.   Not sure if your radio has HD?  Look for the little "HD" logo like in orange on the left.  If it has that logo, it can receive HD signals.

Listen to WEOS on your ANDROID PHONE
RadioTime TuneIN AppDroid

WEOS (and our sister station, WHWS 105.7FM) can be heard on your Android phone via the RadioTime TuneIN app.  Available via the Droid Market, accessed via your phone.

We've found that the RadioTime TuneIN app also works pretty well at finding webcasts for radio stations all over the USA.   There is a free ad-supported version and a pay-for no-ads version that also has a few extra features.

Listen to WEOS on your BLACKBERRY
Nobex Radio for blackberryNobex Radio Companion

WEOS can be heard on your Blackberry phone via the Nobex Radio Companion software.  Available at http://www.nobexrc.com/
There is a free version that includes some advertisements and is limited to USA stations.  The premium version has a monthly fee but no ads and access to international stations.

Native streaming
In theory, Blackberry supports streaming MP3 natively on the phone.  Just click the link in your web browser and it should open in the media player.  We have heard reports that this doesn't work for everyone, though, hence the Nobex recommendation above.  Still, try clicking this link:  http://pubint.ic.llnwd.net/stream/pubint_weos
